Depression Tribe

Hey! I'm 21 years old. I was working as a Holistic Therapist for two years but decided last September to go back and study full time! I'm a massive joker, I like making people laugh and can be quite sarcastic at times! Then there's the other side to me. I've been trying to cope with depression and anxiety since I was about 12/13. I've been in rehab, on medication and seen several therapists through the years. I've reacted very badly to feeling this way and taken the hard paths in life because of it! I feel like this is all life has to offer! I'm currently at an all time low, going through a tough time of it. I decided to start blogging to maybe take the load off a bit and found this site. Looks cool so I'll give it a go! It's nice to talk and share thoughts with people that can REALLY relate to you. Thanks for reading. :-)

Pizza, Breaking Bad, Dexter. Malcolm in the Middle and Friends never get old do they! Walking my dogs on the beach, I love animals! Have an obsession with meerkats! And penguins are awesome too! Dancing, listening to music(all the time!)reading, getting drunk to blow of steam(very occasionally) learning new things(I've a thirst for knowledge!) Getting out with friends(When I feel up to it)

Depression, anxiety, life at the minute!! Sometimes people! Rude people, horrible people, but I try not to HATE anyone! Emmmm what else.. Early mornings! They kill me!

I read a lot of 'chicken soup for the soul' type books, trying to find an answer! The usual from Rhonda Byrne, Eckhart Tolle etc etc. Just finished reading The Shack, I thought it was okay, not great. Hunger Games(Book was WAY better) Plenty of romances. Tried reading 50 Shades, couldn't get into it at all! :-)

Patch Adams, The Shawshank Redemption, Forest Gump, Prozac Nation, Shutter Island, The Dictator, Signs, I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry, Harry Potter, The Road to Perdition, Mrs. Doubtfire, Avatar, Lovely Bones, The Hunger Games, Seven Pounds, I could go on forever!

Not a lot at the moment really other than reading, walking, going out with friends, music, learning to play the violin on and off! Thinking of maybe starting a martial arts class or something. Get me out a bit more!
