Okay, it's been a few years since the last profile update, so here we go again (for all of you who are interested :D).... Howdy! I'm currently a graduate student in paralegal studies. My bachelor's is in English, and after this I plan to head off to law school. My goal is to become a rich successful lawyer one day, because I want to be able to throw money at things and make them change. I love the law and I adhere to it rigorously. As corny as this may sound, I try to live my life by the virtues of Strength, Honor, and Wisdom, because I feel that, in the end, they will bring the most benefit to me and the people around me. I'm not going to pretend I have aspirations of doing good for society in the grand scheme of things, but I'd like to be a good person and get through my life the best I can. I want to be somebody that people enjoy being around. And that's hard sometimes when I'm depressed, but that's why I always try to be strong, honorable, and wise in all things.

I'm fanciful. I like dressing up in Victorian clothing and painting pictures with my words. I like dropping lines of poetry into my sentences, I like being silly when I can be, but I find I'm often very intense when my mood is low. I have a burning passion about things that seems rather misplaced when I'm depressed; but that tells me that, no matter how depressed I am at any given moment, I'm not going to be that way forever. I just KNOW I'm going to pull myself out of this depression. I'm NOT going to live like this! I ALWAYS get what I want, not because it's given to me but because I keep fighting and fighting and fighting until I get it! But you can tell I'm in an okay mood while I'm writing this, because when I'm depressed it's hard to remind myself of these things. Life's a struggle, but I guess I'm making the best of it. :)

So that's me. I talk too much, but I hope that comes across as endearing. I always have so much on my mind, and I can never keep it all inside! Some people hide their thoughts and feelings, but everything I think is written across my face before I even say it. My life is an open book, and as awkward and loquacious as I may sometimes seem, I wouldn't have it any other way! :)

I like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and many other nerdy hobbies. I like learning, but I don't like learning in a school environment (being in class is very taxing on my mind). I also like reading and writing, drawing, watching the news, watching movies, and playing SOME video games.

Many things, most of which are people. I don't like people who pretend depression isn't a thing, in one way or another. It frustrates me to no end to get yelled at or shunned because I'm socially awkward and often embarrassingly honest. But perhaps my biggest dislike is being alone! I HATE loneliness! It's worse than death.... Because when you're alone, it's like you're dead, only you know it!

It has been so long since you logged on. =( Just wanted to say I thought of you today. I also thought about my roadtrip to North Carolina and how you were one of the members from here that supported me and read my blogs on my journey. you will never know how much that meant to me. I hope you were well.

It's the possibility that keeps me going, not the guarantee, a sort of wager on my part. And though you may call me a dreamer or fool or any other thing, I believe that anything is possible.

Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Meatloaf, ZZ Top, The Who, The Doors, Steppenwolf, Jefferson Airplane, Flogging Molly, The Pogues, Gogol Bordello, Alestorm, Rammstein, Eluveitie, Turisas, Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir, JUNGLE MUSIC!!!, Good Charlotte, Blink 182, Mustard Plug, and The Decemberists. I suppose that's all for now.

As I said in the "About" section, I was an English major, so I've read my fair share of The Literature. Some of my favorite authors include, but are not limited to: Tolkien, Dickens, Voltaire, Dante, Carroll, Poe, and Frederick Brown. I'm more of a fan of poetry than I am of prose, however. My favorite poets (in no particular order) are: Chaucer, Milton, Burns, Shelley, Frost, Thomas, Poe, Shakespeare, Homer, E. A. Robinson, Virgil, Ovid, and all those unknown poets who wrote those Old and Middle English poems, like the Beowulf Poet and the Pearl Poet. I guess I can't really say they're my "favorite" poets since nobody knows who they were, but Old English was actually my main area of study as an undergrad, so I've read some of those works backward and forward at this point. I read a bit of Old English, too, which is a cool party trick (God I go to boring parties :P)!

I'm a minor movie buff, but my favorite directors are Quentin Tarantino and Stanley Kubrick. I like all movies, really (except romantic comedies; especially ones which star a slightly obese, young- to middle-aged male comedian with tight curly brown hair and a scraggly beard). I especially like really bad horror movies that I can make fun of with friends (even though I don't have many friends).

Not too many, I suppose. Homework is my main pastime, and I work my ass off because I have this dream of being a rich, successful, lawyer, you see. But dreams, like hope, are subjunctive (ask me what I mean! :D). But aside from that, I also love Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder, as I said before. I don't really have anyone to play with, so I just think up stories using the basic rules of the game, and prepare to play in case anyone suddenly comes along. I read a lot of poetry, and watch a lot of news. I'm not very interesting.
