How do you sum yourself up in this section? This is why I left it blank at first. I'll give it a try now after a couple of months.
For starters I am here because I have Bipolar Disorder NOS (Not Otherwise Specified). My psychologist recommended this site to me because another patient of his told him about it. My psychologist thought it'd be good for me to have the support. He also thought it'd help with my social anxiety. Additionally, hoping I'd make some friends.
I don't know what to say here really. I am still trying to find myself and my way in the world, even at this age. There's still a lot I have to learn about myself. However, I would say I am more in tune with myself than I give myself credit.
I was diagnosed with depression and separation anxiety when I was in middle school. By high school it was depression and generalized anxiety disorder. At around age twenty, knowing in my heart I was Bipolar, I decided to go get diagnosed with the insistence of my sister.
I have tried many medications throughout the years. Currently I am on an anti depressant, an anti psychotic, and an anti anxiety medication.
I don't know what I would do without my current doctors. I'd be lost and a lost cause. I see my psychiatrist once a month and my psychologist once a week.
But so far this is just the psychological aspects of me.
Me as a person. I have a good heart. I am socially awkward at times but friendly. I pride myself in being able to see the good in people. I also take pride in having an open mind. I have specific views on some things but, I can almost always see someone else point of view.
I've made some really wonderful friends on here so far. I am completely open to making more. I am a good listener and supportive where I can be. I'd love to hear from more of you out there. Please free free to contact me. I hope whoever reads this has as good of a day as possible despite whatever it is you are going through and the challenges you may face.
