Depression Tribe

I am divorced now after 18 years of marriage for over a year, two late teen daughters. I currently run a car dealership near Harrisburg PA and have been in the business for over 20 years. NOW YOU UNDERSTAND PART OF MY DEPRESSION. Just kidding but it has been a crazy past couple years for me. I would say I am fun to hang around, I keep in good shape, eat right, am told I am a good looking guy, I have people that love me. And I am soooooo sad most of the time I just wish my life was over. I hang in there for my girls, but it is hard. Nobody that knows me would know how sad I am sometimes. I have struggled my whole life to be a patient man, which I have achieved, but I had a nervous breakdown about 8 years ago and was on and off anxiety meds for years. I finally started to take control of my emotions, slowed down my wondering mind and have been off meds for the last 4 years. Although I have panic attacks still from time to time, for me it is mostly a state of depression and even sometimes hoplessness. Why can I not be a more cheerful man all the time. I found this site as I was looking up suicide sites and figured I would sign on and get some insight and if fortunate enough, find some friends that can bring sunshune back in my world.

I listen to any music depending on my mood. Even a little Elvis or Sinatra from time to time.

I am a big fan of most movies. Scary or funny, I'm game!

I like to golf, ski, boat, exercise,cook,hike and really anything outdoors with a little adventure.
