I have been battling bouts of depression/panic attacks off and on for...far too many years now. Just recently emerged from a particularly nightmarish bout that lasted approx 3 years(May 2009-to approx May 2012) and by far was the worst and longest out of all of the bouts I have experienced in my life, bad enough to land me in the hospital several times and to cause me to lose my job, among other things. It was absolutely hellish and horrific, as I'm sure just about anyone on here who reads this can relate to. While things have for the most part been better in recent months, I'm always fearful of a relapse--something that I'm sure once again a lot of people on here whose depression is "in remission" can likewise relate to. One thing that seems to help--besides this very site itself and the by and large wonderful people that are members of it--is blogging about whatever worries and concerns that might be hounding me at the time, so...I do blog quite often on here, and they usually ain't short! Also, I'm here for anyone to talk to at anytime. If I'm not willing to do whatever I possibly can to help anyone who is battling severe depression..all I can say is shame on me.

Sports(Go St. Louis Cardinals! Go St Louis Blues! GO St. Louis Rams!, but most importantly...Go Missouri Tigers!), movies, friends who stand by you through the worst of times, when the wind blows through you as if it's getting to the root of your soul and revitalizing it, those precious rare times where I'm not consumed and overwhelmed with self-conciousness, the company of good friends(as rare as that seems these days).

Depression(naturally), panic attacks(naturally), close-minded people,.. people who don't understand what people like us are all going through but then try to impose their unwanted advice or viewpoints on us, jerks on here who use insults or go overboard with the "tough love" approach to try to "help" people on here via replies on said peoples blogs(it's been done to me, but I've also seen it done to others, and when I do, I never hesitate to let the offender know what absolute. jerks they are; I will defend anyone on here to the death who is going through depression and is getting verbal assaults from boneheads like that on here, and if said person(s) who are experiencing such a thing includes anyone who might be reading this, please don't be hesitant to let me know if you're needing someone to put such offenders in their place)funerals, urinary-tract infections, roaches, bad-tasting fruit, people who talk out loud during movies, people who talk on their cellphones in the library, Facebook(and yet I can't bring myself to leave it)

Hey, Todd! Glad you're still here! (No need for sorries--esp. when i get that people have their own responsibilities and lives--its all OK, in that respect.) As far as how you're doin--if you need to vent, lean, whatever--feel free to do so....No worries there, either. k? me? i'm still workin on me--which will, inevitably take a lifetime (LOL), but, i'm hangin as best i can. ya know? Anywhooo, just glad you're still in it. Hang tough, my friend!!! ****hugs****
