Hi. My name is Katie. Here is a general background of me I guess:
I've had depression problems since about 10 or 11.
since I've struggled with anxiety, self injury, depression, bi-polar, ptsd, alcoholism and addiction, and some eating disorders. My post traumatic stress disorder is from past abuse and being kidnapped (twoseperate incidents.)
At 14 I was put into a wilderness program.
At 15 I was put into an outpatient program.
Then I moved to Hawaii with my aunt.
Then moved out and started living on my own.
Then I got sent to a residential program in Reno.
Then I got out and was sent to a group home in Salinas.
Then I turned 18. Now I am working at a tattoo shop in san jose, and going to school to work on becoming an art therapist.
Also I am writing for a magazine called the Bunsen Burner, and the school newspaper. Paint. Do big brothers big sisters.
Trying to keep moving.
I'm one of those people that's too tired to stand up and too restless to sit down- on a daily basis.
Right now I am diagnosed with PTSD, Bi-polar, and ADHD.
I've been on a whole coctail of meds for a long time, but it's being switched around a bit
I want to meet someone who will laugh at my jokes (even if I've told them before and they were never funny to begin with), and who will dance in the rain with me. Someone who likes to ride thier bike down big hills really fast. And someone who will have no problem pretending it's their birthday at chevy's so we can get a free hat!
I want to meet someone who will not get annoyed at me when I sing the wrong words slightly off key to songs that used to be popular, but are now just one hit wonders. Someone who collects old buttons and would like to trade with me. Someone who can play the kazoo AND the tambourine. Simultaneously.
In tune to the Ukelele.
And someone who would like to play uno with me at 4 am.
Someone who likes sour patch kids, just not the red ones, so that I don't have to eat the yellow ones anymore.
Someone who is good enough at staring contests to challenge me- but not so good that my eyes get stuck.
Someone who can skip and sing "follow the yellow brick road" for at least a mile and a half.
And who will stop and wait a couple of seconds when I have to stop to use my inhaler...
Someone who will tolerate incoherrant ramblings and rants regardless of relevancy at 3:27AM on occasion.
Someone who will not make fun of me for being ridiculous, and who will not leave me for being unbearable. Someone who will stick around. Even though I can't say I'd do the same.
