Depression Tribe

I'm depressed... and schizophrenic, or maybe schizoaffective, or BPD, whatever the shrinks are saying this week. I hate my life. I'm very bored, and yet the idea of leaving the house sends me into a panic. I haven't held a real job in almost 2 years now. Feeling pretty rough these days, but just got into Day Hospital and got a shrink and some meds, so hopefully there'll be some improvement soon.



In my free time, of which I have copious amounts, I'm a digital photo-alterations artist. Which basically means that I take digital photos that are emailed to me, and do various touch-ups and changes using software like photoshop. I've been doing it for about 10 years now, and at this point there's pretty much nothing I can't do with a digital photo.

I'm not sure anymore. I used to like reading, cycling, acting, singing, dancing .... god, so many things. Now I'm satisfied with pizza that's still hot and not having to leave the house.



Love the bf, though. He's a lifesaver.... grape.

What I've let my life become. Anyone that's going to send me flirtatious or abusive msgs in response to my being here. Drama Llamas and emo kids. McDonald's

No matter what, I'll always love music, though I no longer sing. I'll listen to anything but country .... or rap that denigrates women and positive change in exchange for "street cred".



A few faves: Nightwish, Sytem of a Down, Cake, TMBG, Evanescence, the mormon tabernacle choir singing christmas carols. Really, it's way to many genres and groups to list.

I used to read all the time, 4 books a week sometimes. David Eddings, Terry Goodkind, Susan Kay, Margaret George, Herman Hesse, Ayn Rand, Rawlings, even an adult novel by Judy Blume called "wifey".

I'm not a huge fan of movies, but I'll watch nearly anything to pass the time.



Additions to this: Shawshank Redemption, LOTR, the Hunger, Boondock Saints, V for Vendetta, Proof, A Beautiful Mind, Gladiator, Memoirs of a Geisha, Mists of Avalon, Waiting, the Longest Yard, and almost anything put out by View Askew.
