Depression

I had lived with dysthymia most of my life which lapsed into months-long bouts of depression. I felt like I was in a rut, I hated my job, I was socially isolated. Then on vacation, home, my brother was hit by a truck-- hit & run, and died a week later in the hospital. My baby brother. 22. My heart is broken. Half of me is gone. Im a cutter now-- it lets a little air out of the tires sometimes. I choke down the pills to take the edge off the feeling of being left behind. Nothing works. I know, someday soon, I'll be with him, just as I said I would.
