I love retirement...am busy all the time. Resentful of the amount of time depression steals from me when I am unable to move or do anything worthwhile.

LIKES

Cats,bird watching, reading, rug hooking, painting, watching the grass grow.

DISLIKES

Sports, except for baseball and football, exercise, cooking, housework.

I have been under the treatment of a doctor since 1993, but have quit the meds. I was suffering more from the side effects than the pain of being bipolar. I'm going it on my own for now, no pharmaceuticals. Anything I take for the bipolar disorder is strictly homeopathic. The only prescription meds I take are NECESSARY--thyroid and heart meds

Thank you for responding to my blog about my granddaughter. You gave an interesting perspective as a teacher. I do tend to blame myself for passing this depression on, I will try not to. It's just when I saw her face and she was crying, it just about broke my heart!

So glad I found this group yesterday...can't believe how much better I feel after writing about my illness and sad feelings yesterday. Happily, it is sunny here today and I am not hurting as much...feels like that no man's land of the calm before throwing up, however it sure beats yesterday's pain!
