Highly resistant depression. Had lap-band surgery last month. Hoping improved health will help my depression, among my other co-morbidities.
I had a horrible winter....a very bad blue spell and winter in Chicago started early and ended late. Also was beating myself up about some bad choices I'd made and obsessing a lot. Spent a lot of time in bed.(safe)
Lost my older sister to cancer in 1987, lost my dad to emphysema related pulmonary embolism in 1993, lost my mom in 1997 to pancreatic cancer. I was with my mom when she passed...it was the worst and best experience i believe I'll ever have. Married with one grown son.
Studied Traditional Okinawan Karate for years. Retired due to back, shoulder, neck and foot problems. And probably depression.

Being depressed. Feeling overwhelmed. Feeling worthless. Feeling "left out". People who stigmatize mental illness. People who think anti-depressants are "happy pills". Feeling like I'm a burden on people. Lonliness. Wishing I could go back in time and be more understanding and compassionate to family members who are no longer with us.

Power Pop, Classic Rock (aka AOR rock), 60's music, THE DANDY WARHOLS, and yes, Bollywood and Indian Music. I grew up listening to everything from big band jazz (father), Cream and Jimi Hendrix (brother), Simon & Garfunkle (other brother), Motown and all 60's am radio music (sister), Monkees, T-Rex, Beatles, oh so much great music out there. I am very lucky to have experienced all those eras - 60's to date.
